Take in St. Paul’s Hill, the striking remains of a Portuguese fort, Cheng HoonTeng temple, the oldest in all of Malaysia and hunt for authentic artefacts and relics as you stroll along the antique row of Jonker’s Street.

Come to the spot where old truly meets new at this vibrant port town and world heritage site. Situated in a vital strategic location for various foreign colonizers, Malacca boasts a rich and diverse history of culture and architecture. Explore the Portuguese fort at St. Paul’s Hill and take yourself back in time to the 17th century when it was the scene of an epic seven month siege at the hands of Dutch invaders. Next, take in Stadthuys, an outstanding example of colonial Dutch architecture and now home to the engaging History and Ethnography Museum. Discover the Chinese’s influence on Malacca at the Cheng HoonTeng temple, the oldest of its kind in all of Malayasia and once central to the spiritual aspirations of the Chinese community in historic Malacca.

Day 4

Amongst the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur it is easy to forget that Malaysia is home to some of the most beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife on the planet. Discover this other side to the country on this trip to Kuala Selangor, a small village well known for the biodiversity of its mangrove forest.
